=> No rudeness, flames, improperness, plagiarism, etc. If you don't think it's right to do, it's probably not. => No improper role playing. Please follow the role playing guides as much as you can. This includes Godmodding. You can control only your character. Don't speak or act for someone else. => Please stay in character. Jacob, for example, would not go running up to Edward and start dancing in circles. Follow what your character would do. If you need to say something outside of the roleplay, follow the proper instructions for that. => You may create multiple accounts for multiple characters, but don't make so many that you are unable to participate as every character. => No spamming the rest of the site. This includes sending out PM's recruiting people to your site. These will get you kicked off of the site.
=> When filling out a character form, it MUST be completed before being posted on the site. If you can not finish it in one sitting, please save it in a word document on your computer and finish it before posting. I don’t like works in progress sitting on my site for three weeks without a single edit. It’s a waste of space, to be blunt. => That being said, if your application has been reviewed and changes were requested, it has 21 days before it is put into the Rejected board. You will have to start over again. => There will be no creating characters that are direct relatives to the cannons of the books. This means that Bella Swan does not have a brother and Charlie Swan is not remarried. Sharing surnames with these characters is not accepted either, unless it is a fairly common name. Judgment of this is left up to the admins and the admins alone. => Your character MUST have a graphic attached to their profile. That means that you must have an icon and/or signature. Icon’s are 100x100 and Signatures are no larger than 250x500. The model must look around the same age as your character is. => If you have not created a character within 21 days of registering, I will delete your username from the board.
=> All posts must be at least ten lines long - think, two good sized paragraphs, or around 200 words. Shorter posts are harder to respond to, and the more you give, the more you’ll get. Also, writing longer posts makes your character seem more real and gives the game a more realistic touch to it. => Direct thoughts go in italics, actions and narrative are written in general paragraph form, and dialogue should be separated either by a different color or being bolded. This makes it easier to skim a thread and remember what is going on. => Use your best grammar. We’re not talking on an instant messenger, and bad spelling and grammar can cause confusion and irritation. Just type your response in word, run spell check, go through to make sure you’re not confusing “their,” “there,” and “they’re” and we’ll be good to go. I am a grammar fanatic, and I'll do my best to understand that everyone else is not - if you do your best when writing. => If in doubt – ASK. We're all - hopefully - rather generous and kind people, and we'd love to help you out if you need it.
The way this site is going to run might be quite different than what you are used to. On this site, your character is only allowed to be in one place at a time. Therefore, your character can only be in one thread at a time. As the admin, I will set the day and the time and after about a week and a half, the date will change. This ensures that the game moves steadily, but at the same time, you're able to keep up in your threads.
You are allowed to have more than one character on this site. In fact, I would like for you to. It makes it more fun to RP when you have more characters running around, and with only one thread at a time, you might be able to manage four or more. Of course, don't make so many that you can't keep up with all of them. I reserve the right to deny a character based on the player's activity.
Back to the format of the site:
Imagine that your character is in four threads. And in one of them, he's seriously mauled in a fight with a werewolf. Where does that leave him in the other threads? Who's to say that those weren't taking place in the future - and now it's completely screwed up because he should be in the hospital?
Because of the nature of this site (we will be having conflicts that will affect every character on the board) we can't have each character in an assortment of places. They have to be in one place during the given time of the game. Where they are is up to you - so long as it's in a place appropriate for your character.
Also, when posting, you must change the header of your post. When you go to reply to a pre-made thread, it will say, for example, "December 31, 2000" in the subject line. This is not very descriptive as to who you're talking to. So, just as if you were creating your own thread, you have to change this. It can say "attn: open," "attn: closed to Anna," or "attn: Anna, Robert, Fred," so long as you're showing who your post is to.
You must also include any needed "ratings" for your post. For example, if your post includes extreme swearing that other readers might be uncomfortable with, you have to mark it with the appropriate tag. Keep in mind that these should be used sparingly - if at all. Any excess of these may result in a warning from one of the Rating Officers. The rating tags are as follows:
L - Coarse Language V - Violent Images/Scene S - Sexual Content M - Mature Content (anything that doesn't fit the other three)
If you have any questions about anything, please PM an admin or one of the appropriate staff officers.

ATTENTION! We've officially started our game! You'll see that there are threads already created for you to post in. Please do NOT make your own threads. You will be posting in the ones already created. Also, do not post in more than one place at a time. We work on a timeline here; if you're at all confused, please shoot a PM to me [id: admin]. We welcome you all to World of Forks!
